This model is a very rugged and fast sports car of that era. The engine was basically twin Carb version of the standard vanguard. This particular car has been the winner of many motor races both in Sri Lanka and in India and since 1989 holds the fastest timing for classic cars both at Kothmale and Radella Hill climbs todate driven by a 19-year old school boy.  Most of this model has left the Sri Lankan shores. Very few remain in Sri Lanka at the moment
